Thank you for considering Green Oaks Bed and Breakfast as the site for your reception. The beauty of this magnificent estate, combined with the highest quality of food and service available, will make this a once in a lifetime event extraordinary and Green Oaks the perfect setting.

Rate

The rate for receptions on any Saturday or Holiday is $2500.00 + tax. This is for the private use of the entire Inn and includes all reception areas and grounds. The rate Sunday through Thursday is $1100. There is a non-refundable deposit of $500 to reserve the date of your reception. This fee may be applied to your balance. The use of the estate for your reception is for a three hour time period. Time beyond the amount specified will be charged on a pro-rata basis. We will work with you on the amount of time for set-up and preparation before the reception begins. We can also customize a wedding package to include everything, except the Bride and Groom. Please call for an appointment as we can usually work within most budgets.

Catering

All food and beverages are under the direction of Green Oaks because we believe it is important to maintain the quality of the event. The charge is on a per person basis. Prices start at $25 per person and depend on the menu selected. A gratuity of 17% and sales tax of 7% will be added to the total bill. A separate menu will be attached to the Special Event Agreement.

To help compute the number of attendees: Multiply the number of invitations by two, this gives the total number invited. Multiply this number by 60%, the average to be expected. For example, 250 invitations x 2 = 500 total invitees x .60 = 300, the average number of guests to be expected. Green Oaks should be advised of this number at the time invitations are mailed and one-half of the catering balance is due and payable at that time.

Alcoholic Beverages

At this time Green Oaks does not have a permit to sell alcoholic beverages. Should you like to have these served they may be provided by the Host (by MS State Law alcoholic beverages must be purchased in the state of MS) and served by Green Oaks staff. The cost of set-ups and bartenders are in the catering agreement. Host agrees to accept full responsibility for any damage caused by injury to guests as a result of having consumed alcoholic beverages at Host's reception or party. Green Oaks reserves the right to see that service is refused on a discretionary basis. Only bottled beer or beer served in glassware will be served.

Parking

Green Oaks has approximately 16 parking spaces on site. If this is not adequate for your event, arrangements can be made for shuttle services or the use of adjoining parking facilities. Green Oaks adjoins the parking lot of the Biloxi Community Center and the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. We will discuss the parking needs of your event with you and help you make any arrangements. For fire and safety reasons no vehicles shall be parked in the driveways. Green Oaks will also work with Host on hiring adequate security.

Safety

Green Oaks maintains a smoke free environment and expects the respectful observance of guests. Due to fire hazard, open candles may not be used in the house. Green Oaks utilizes two security guards for a four hour time period at a cost of $100 to the host. The guards are used to direct traffic to the parking areas.

Entertainment

Due to the fact that Green Oaks is in a residential neighborhood, we will work with you on your music selection prior to your reception. It will greatly depend on the time of day of your event.

Rentals

Green Oaks will handle the rentals for tents, glassware, china, flatware, silverware, linens, serving utensils, serving equipment, tables and chairs. This includes all needed equipment and supplies. Green Oaks will also supervise all set-up and clean up. This is at no additional charge to Host other than rental company fee. Host agrees to sign rental contract and pay for any damaged items.

Inclement Weather

Green Oaks can accommodate 225 guests in the breezeway, dining room, center hall and galleries. For a seated dinner 60 guests can be in the breezeway. The grounds can accommodate 500 for a seated dinner or 1000 for cocktails. It is recommended that for large events the Host make plans for tents, which Green Oaks will arrange. It is also advisable that the Biloxi Community Center that adjoins the home be rented for back up in case of severe weather.

Florists

We look forward to working with your selected florist. In the home fresh flowers are used however, if you would like to use your own arrangements we will gladly work with you. We would like to schedule a meeting with the florist and the Host prior to the event to discuss arrangements. At this time if tents are involved we will also involve the rental company. Green Oaks will gladly arrange for all of your floral needs.

Damage

Green Oaks is furnished in beautiful and expensive antiques. Host agrees to pay for any damage to such property by Host or Host's guests during the reception or party.

Deposits

All fee paid to Green Oaks prior to the cancellation of the event are non-refundable. If the event is canceled due to a Hurricane fees paid will not be refunded, however an alternate date will be arranged.
